The Pros & Cons of Online Business

Online businesses are becoming the new norm, they offer so many advantages to your everyday life that are sure to encourage you to start your own today! Here is a quick run down of a few pros and cons of having your own online business… Enjoy

The Pros

Freedom

There are many advantages to running your own online business, but Freedom is at the top of my list of benefits. The beauty of running an online business is that you can work wherever in the world you may be, all you need is an internet connection and your good to go. Sipping a pina colada on the beach, no problem🍹🏖

It is you who is in control of your business, no more taking orders from your mean boss, you are the boss. You’re the shot caller and you choose the direction you would like to take your business.

No Need to Commute

Long gone are the days of sweaty trains and early morning starts, work from home on your online business. All you need is a website and a marketing plan.

What more is there to say? The beauty of working from home is that you are working from home. Imagine waking up naturally, without the jarring sound of an alarm, doesn’t that seem magical. Your morning commute would consist of you walking to the office, AKA the sofa.

Starting on a Small Budget

Unlike a traditional business, online firms don’t require a huge amount of cash to start up. This is another great advantage of an online business, the low start-up costs are great for starting on a budget. Imagine waking up and sitting on the sofa in your PJs with a hot chocolate doing your work, doesn’t that sound so great! No fees for office space, when you are working in your living room.

For example, if you are a blogger, there literally is 0 start-up fees – all you need is a blogging platform to publish your work like WordPress for example.

The Cons

Don’t you worry, they’re not that bad😊

It’s All Your Fault…

It’s great to say you are your own boss and run your own business, but a lot of responsibility comes with that statement. Remember, you are the boss. If it goes wrong, you are 100% accountable for your mistakes, but remember, you must make mistakes to learn and succeed. Don’t take the L as a ‘loss’ it’s a Lesson!

Finding a Good Work/Life Balance

Having a work/life balance is key, you need to be able to manage your time so you have time for work and time to rest so you can work more effectively.

It Doesn’t Happen Overnight

Believe me, internet businesses are not a get rich quick scheme, although we really wish it was, it’s not. A lot of hours of hard work are needed to be successful in anything, including online businesses.

At the end of the day, the pros always have and always will outweigh the cons. It is the most rewarding feeling witnessing all of the hours of hard work and graft you put in pay off, it’s about progression. Make the vision you had a reality.
